Regional Development Projects List 2. Regional Development Projects Map INTRODUCTION This is the quarterly report of proposed development outside the jurisdiction of the City of Beverly Hills. The Community Development Department regularly monitors development projects occurring in neighboring jurisdictions near the City s boundaries and provides information to the community on the projects. Attachment A to this report is the Regional Development Projects List, which is a list of development projects that could potentially result in impacts to the City. Attachment B is the Regional Development Projects Map. Numbers have been placed on the map to correspond with the projects on the list and are also included in the project summaries below. DISCUSSION Since the last quarterly report on November 1, 216, one project that has previously been monitored by the City has had a change in status. This project is summarized in this section. New information included in the project updates is provided in italicized text. Project updates 333 S. La Cienepa The 333 S. La Cienega project is located between San Vicente and La Cienega Boule vards, south of 3td Street, adjacent to Beverly Hills. The project proposal originally included one 19-story mixed use tower with 154 luxury housing units and space for a restaurant/café and grocery store. An application for the project was filed with the City of

2 Regional Development Projects Report Los Angeles on March 3, 215. The City received a notice of preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Report in January 216 and a notice of availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Report in May 216. Staff submitted comment letters to the City of Los Angeles throughout the project approval process. Several changes were made to the Environmental Impact Report document in response to City comments including language that requires the applicant to submit a Construction Traffic Management Plan to the City of Beverly Hills prior to construction and coordinate with the City and emergency service providers regarding adequate access to critical facilities during construction. In November, 276, the Los Angeles City Planning Commission approved the project. This approval was then appealed and a hearing by the Los Angeles City Council was held on January 24, 217. As a result of this hearing, the project was reduced from 79 stories to 16 stories, and the project applicant will provide an additional $5, to the City of Los Angeles for affordable housing.
