2 Brief History of BIM in Croatia Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb Computer lab established 2D CAD ArchiCAD enlisted in the curriculum of the Computer Use in Architectural Design class Faculties of Civil Engineering early 2000s all Faculties have some sort of BIM software for construction analysis installed in their computer labs (Tower, SCIA, ETABS etc)

5 Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers 2017 published General BIM Guides 156 page handbook Faculty of Civil Engineering, Zagreb BIM tools and processes in different courses: construction calculation, building organization, sustainable design etc.

6 Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning Joined EU BIM Task Group in November 2017 Formed a national task group with experts from all the chambers: architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and surveyors. Developing road map to fully implement BIM for public projects by 2024 Investigates the possibilities to implement BIM for electronic building permits

7 Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb Developing BIM specialist course 2 semesters Starts in October 2019 Will be available for architects, civil engineers and building technicians Goal: Educate BIM modelers and BIM coordinators for BIMbased architectural and collaborative design process
