10 Thamby Kumaran, Kumaran Design Thamby is an award-winning builder, master craftsman, and designer that has worked in the greater Bay Area for the past 0 years. His projects include the Sea Ranch Chapel, the renovation of Fort Ross, multiple homes on the North Coast, as well as the Taylor Residence in the Napa Valley and a passive-energy home in San Jose. In addition, he is passionate about green buildings and is a board member for Passive House California. 0

12 West of West W/W is an architecture and design studio that creates buildings, objects, and spaces to change the way one experiences the world. Their current work includes interiors for the eyewear brand GLCO, and a new home in Sonoma County. The practice was established in 0 by Jai Kumaran and Clayton Taylor and currently operates in Portland and Los Angeles. Clayton Taylor, AIA Clayton is a founding partner of W/W. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He has worked for Coop Himmelblau, Morphosis, and RCH, among others. At RCH he has led numerous projects including the mixed-use Columbia Square (Los Angeles) and the Southwest School of Art (Texas) He is a NCARB certified architect and licensed to practice in California. Jai Kumaran Jai is a founding partner of W/W. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He has worked for multiple internationally-recognized design firms, most recently Morphosis Architects in Culver City, CA, where he most recently worked on the new U.S. Embassy in Beirut. In addition, Mr. Kumaran was part of the construction phase of Emerson College, Los Angeles, as well as leading the design team for a new high-speed TGV station in Rabat, Morocco, among numerous other projects. Both partners studied under Thom Mayne at UCLA and, while at Morphosis, were Project Designers for a new urban development in Chengdu, China, and led a multi-firm team for the Chinese University of Hong Kong s new Shenzhen Campus.
