RHS 505/3 - Law and Housing: Scenario on Malaysian laws and international laws relating to housing are firstly introduced. There are four major components of laws been introduced to the students. RHS 507/6 - Case Studies: This course which is conducted through seminars and project discussions, is aimed at analysing important issues related to the local housing situation as well as getting insight into what is prevalent overseas. RHS 509/8 Research Project in Housing: This course requires the students to prepare a dissertation based on studies and research done on certain housing aspects that are of interest to them. RHS 510/3 - Socio-Economic Aspects of Housing: This course provides and understanding of basic concepts and theories of housing and their relationship with socio-economic aspects of housing development. RHS 512/3 - Housing Design: This course provides an understanding of social values, economic issues as well as aspects of planning and technology thus allowing a more complete and innovative approach in housing design. Students will be exposed to various design alternatives, taking into consideration the social and cultural elements climatic factors and infrastructure required in housing project.

4 RHS 513/3 - Housing and Technology: This course focuses on aspects of technology related to the housing industry. Several important issues such as comfort, building decay, physical deterioration of buildings and safety problems are very much related to design and materials technology. RHS 514/3 - Housing Management and Finance: Housing development has and continues to suffer from a lack of such housing projects (delay). Finance is one of the important aspects related to housing management. Developers depend very much on the availability of cash flow and finance from various finance institution in order to complete in their undertaking for housing programmes.
