2 We are pleased to invite you to the final conference of the Countering WEEE Illegal Trade (CWIT) project to present you the project s preliminary findings. The CWIT consortium is taking on the challenge of providing a set of recommendations to the end user community and the European Commission to assist them in countering WEEE illegal trade. This event on June 2015 will cover the following topics: - WEEE flows, WEEE market and WEEE actors. - Drivers of criminal e-waste activities - Recommendations aimed at tackling illegal trade of WEEE. The CWIT conference will bring together actors involved and interested in the trade of WEEE, in particular representatives of enforcement agencies, policy making institutions and the electronics (recycling) industry. For entry into the INTERPOL premises, attendees are required to bring their official identification documents (passport, national ID) to the event. The conference language is English and there will be no translation provided. Conference admission is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs incurred by attendees during the workshop will not be covered by the CWIT project.
