GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others CONTINUING PROF DEVELOPMENT UAP Manila-METRO Chapter, sent a total of Twenty Six (26) delegates to the UAP Regional District B-1 Assembly last November 10, 2018 at the Casa Ibarra, MOA Complex, Pasay City. This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity was co-presented by all seven chapters within District B-1. Entitled EMERGING SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIES FOR CLIMATE CHANGE, it aimed to expose all attendees to Singaporean and Dutch approaches in making our country resilient against the effects of climate change. Featured speakers were Mr. RICK HEIKOOP (The Rotterdam Experience), Ar. MARK DENNIS ONG (Varying Scales: Ideas from the Garden City for Greener Cities), Prof. FLORIS BOOGARD (Best Practices and Innovations for Climate Resilient Cities), Dr. SHEILA MARIA CORNEJOS (Adaptive ReUse Design) and Prof. SEKHAR KONDEPUDI (Internet of Things to Smart Cities).

SIGNING Date 19 - NOV Over Five Hundred (500) Individuals Venue Panciteria Lido, Z Square For METRO to perform and dispense its mandate of CSR ACTIVITES focusing on architecture. GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others BAYANIHANG ARKITEKTURA The UAP Manila-METRO Chapter formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the non-governmental organization (NGO) CHRISTIANS IN GOLF ASSOCIATION, INC. (CIGA) to come to the aid of the indigenousaeta and Zambaleño community of Barangay Batiawan in the municipality of Subic, Zambales. This chapter CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) project will focus on the architecture and construction needs of the community like its barangay center, school building and health care facilities, among others. METRO aims to uplift the stature of thearchitect within the community and promote our profession as one that knows no economic or financial boundaries. This is our chapter s humble contribuition to to the mother organization s BayanihangArkitektura (CSR) movement.

5 ACTIVITY NUMBER ANTHOLOGY FESTIVAL PARTNERSHIP Date 24 - NOV Over 2,500 Architects & 5,000 Attendees Venue My Town Jacinto, Makati To Formalize METRO as Co-Presentor of Anthology Festival 2019 via M.O.A. signing. GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others CONTINUING PROF DEVELOPMENT The UAP Manila-METRO Chapter formally entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) withanthologyarchitectureand DESIGN FESTIVAL (Anthology Fest) to be its organizational co-presentor for Anthology Fest 2019 to be held from February at Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila. The Anthology Fest is an annual gathering of over 2,500 architects and 5,000 attendees. It is a three-day forum about architecture, design and their purpose within the greater community. 100 foreign and local thought leaders are invited with a mission to translate discourse into programmed action.

6 ACTIVITY NUMBER METRO UNITY IN SPORTS - 4TH QTR Twenty Eight (28) METRO Architects GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others UNITY & CAMARADERIE Date Venue To Foster Chapter UNITY & CAMARADERIE through sports particularly in GOLF. 20 & 27 - NOV Anvaya Cove & Wack Wack The final quarter of this year featured two of the most anticipated golf tournaments for architects and construction industry stalwarts. Opening this two-week architects golf major fortnight was the revered 27th ARCHITECTS GOLF CLASSIC powered by Boysen Paints, among many others. This edition was held last November 20, 2018 at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club. Atotal of 28 METROArchitects bannered the field of 159 par-busters. Our chapter was well-represented in the winners circle withar. GILBERT LUI (ClassAChamp),Ar. MARVIN TAN (ClassA1st Runner-up) andar. HENRYWEE-EBOL (Class C 2nd Runner-up). Over at theanvaya Golf and Sports Club in Morong, Bataan, Kuysen Enterprises staged the 2nd edition of its eponymous KUYSEN INVITATIONAL. Atotal of 19 METRO Architects and 9 METRO Industry Partners teed off last November 27, Four METRO Architects romped off with trophies led by Division 1 Champ Ar. ADONES BALUYUT. Our chapter president, Ar. JASONANG won Division 2 Champion honors while Division 3 was also dominated by METRO withar. JOHN EDWIN CO and past presidentar. NEXSONYUNG carting away the 1st and 2nd Runner-up trophies, respectively.
