2 ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION This 1-story, 3-bay, gable-roofed vernacular concrete block dwelling was constructed ca and features a central brick flue, 6/6-and 4/4-sash windows, louvered shutters, exposed rafter ends, 3-light basement windows, rear shed-roofed wing, and shed-roofed entrance hood supported by brackets. HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION According to local historian Eugenia Bibb, her father, B. R. Bibb had this building constructed by Winston Goings, an African-American builder who had been a childhood friend of Mr. Bibb. The building was constructed as a garage apartment and the garage converted into a second apartment in Architecturally the house is of the same era and form as many of the other contributing resources in the potential Oakhurst- Gildersleeve Neighborhood Historic District.

The main entrance, protected by a gable-roofed hood supported by brackets, is on the side of the taller block between it and the side wing. Vernacular Craftsman-style architectural details include a central brick chimney, 6/6-sash windows (some paired),

4 exposed rafter ends, a large shed-roofed rear dormer clad in stucco, stucco in the gable end of the larger block; jack arches above some of the windows, and 2 gable-roofed dormers on roof of larger block. The rear elevation is a full two stories with a first- and second-floor entry. HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION According to local historian Eugenia Bibb, her father, B. R. 14 columns and gable-end returns. The main block has a 1-bay hip-roofed porch with Tuscan columns on the west side and 1-story gable-roofed wing (that may be original) on the east end. A large 3-story frame wing was added on the northeast end of the house in the mid-20 th century. HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION According to local historian Eugenia Bibb, this house was constructed in 1922 by Mr. Alexander P. Hull, owner of Hull Coal Company and whose mother lived next door at 111 Maywood Lane. Architecturally the house is a representative example of a vernacular Colonial Revival-style house in fairly well-preserved condition. It is from the same time period and form as many of the other contributing resources in the potential Oakhurst-Gildersleeve Neighborhood Historic District.

Other details include: asbestos siding, and asphalt shingle roofing, semi-exterior-end brick

16 chimneys (6-course American bond), a brick foundation, gable-rend returns, 6/6-sash windows on the first floor, casement thermae windows on the second floor, a 1-bay pedimented portico with gable-end returns and Tuscan column supports, and a gableroofed hood over the entry to the side wing. HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION According to local historian Eugenia Bibb, this house was constructed in 1915 as a spec house by H. B. and Francesca Boone, and was possible designed by local architect Eugene Bradbury. Mrs. Florence Hull bought the house in 1921 and it remained under that family ownership until At that time the large back porch, which looked out onto Valley Road, was enclosed and the house was divided into two apartments. Architecturally the house is a fine example of the Colonial Revival style in fairly wellpreserved condition. It is a contributing resource in the potential Oakhurst-Gildersleeve Neighborhood Historic District.

It is one of three dwellings of this style that are contributing resources in the potential Oakhurst-Gildersleeve Neighborhood Historic District.
