Jensen and wife Maren he died the 25th. 2 yrs. 11 months old. Cecilie Margrete, nee Hansen, wife of Thomas Christoffersen interred her in Dwight Dec. 27, died the 24th. The deceased reached the age of 39 years on Sept. 4th and leaves her husband, 5 children and an old mother. L. Hansen 1887 Jens Elias Christensen interred in Dwight August 17, 1887 He left a widow and 6 children, the smallest only 4 months old. Youngman - Christen Petersen interred in Dwight August 19, 1887 who died Aug. 18 from sunstroke after laying sick 5 weeks. A little unbaptized child interred in Dwight September 4, Parents are P. Jensen and yet loving wife Marie Jensen nee Johansen. born April 14, 1886 died June 4, 1888 Emma Theodora Simonsen interred August 4, My own daughter, who was 23 hours old. Rosalia Rasmussen interred August 11, 1888 daughter of Hartvig Rasmussen and wife Christine Rasmussen nee Petersen who live here in town. The child was born Jan. 30 this year. Clara Nielsen interred here in the congregation December 29, 1888 who had just commenced to attend confirmation instruction with me Maren Pethrine Nissen interred in Streator, Ill. January 5, born May 10, 1887 died January 31, 1889 Christine Cecelie Christensen (Jensen) daughter of Jens Christian Christensen and wife was born July 23, 1887, died June 18, 1889 of erysipelas and was interred in Dwight the next day by Pastor N. P. Simonsen Peter Christian Petersen born in Bindslev, Vensyssel Denmark, died in Dwight July 9, 1889 and was interred the same day by Pastor O. Saue, Norwegian pastor. 24 years old. Carl Rasmussen - son of Hartvig Rasmussen and wife Christianna Rasmussen nee Petersen died Sept. 17, 1889, he attained an age of 21 days. Rev. France, minister for the Congregational Church here in town, conducted the interment, as I was away at our synod s yearly convention in Chicago. Hans Jensen was born May 11, 1810 in Venslov Parish, Soro County, Zeland, Denmark, was married Nov. 27, 1840 to his now living wife. He left Denmark in the spring of 1868 and settled in Vermillion Co. Illinois. He left his home Sept. 30, 1889 to make a visit with his daughter in Chicago, where he died Oct. 16 same year, at an age of 79 years 5 months and 5 days. Oct. 17, 1889 funeral services were conducted by me in Rankin, Verm. Co. Ill. N.P. Simonsen Helene Rasmussen nee Carstensen died Nov years old - from her husband and 3 small children and was interred here in Dwight 2 days later, where I officiated at the funeral. N. P. Simonsen 1890 Catherine Dorethea wife of Jorgen Jorgensen, daughter of Carsten Carstensen in Upusuon, Slesvig. born in March 1860, died Jan. 10, 1890 by suicide, she went into a well. Jan 11, same year, I held the funeral and spoke a little at the grave. A funeral of this kind is twice as sorrowful. N. P. Simonsen Anton Petersen born May 29, 1869 in Dronninglund parish in Denmark of Ole Petersen and wife Maren Christine died Jan. 23, I spoke at his bier and held funeral the next day. N. P. Simonsen Niels Rasmussen born Nov. 5, 1859 in Seest at Kolding died Apr. 20, 1890 in Gibson, Ford Co., Ill. after 4 ½ years of a happy married life with Karoline Tovel, whom he left with 3 small children. He was interred April 22, 1890, I spoke at his bier in the Swedish Luth. Church in Gibson, over Psalm N. P. Simonsen Niels Clausen Hansen Son of Hans Hansen and wife Anne Mette Hansen born Aug. 17, 1878 died June 6, I spoke at his grave over Isaiah 25-8 and held funeral service June 7. N. P. Simonsen Siloem Sondergaard died Oct. 12, 23 years old, leaving a husband and children. I executed funeral out on the German Luth. Cemetery Oct. 13, Peter Jepsen s son who 4 years old Anton Jepsen s daughter who 1 ½ years old died in Chicago, interred in Dwight Apr. 2, 1891 Sept. 11, I was in Rankin to inter a Danish child. The 14th here in Dwight, 2 children were interred at which I performed the funeral service at Christian Lagonis and Karl Holms Nov. 26, 1891 a little boy 4 years old was interred. Niels Peter Petersens Dec. 18, 91 I performed two funeral services: Laurits Jensen who, one half year ago, came here from Denmark to his 3 brothers in Gardner born April , died Dec 16, 1891 Anders Jensen, who a month ago came over here from Denmark with his fiancee, whom he leaves. Born Dec. 16, 1868, died Dec. 18, of typhoid fever was buried the same day. Hans Jakobsen born Nov. 18, 1818 in Rodding Parish Denmark died Dec. 27, 1891 at his daughter, Jes Spandet s wife, leaving many children around here.
