On the 21st of September I saw the two prisoners together in Wimpolestreet I followed them to Baker-street, and I saw Perry take a pint pot from No. 19 Ryley was close to her, and joined her I then caught Perry, and took from her the pint pot I asked what she was going to do she made no reply I then took Ryley, and from her apron took four more pots these are them. 4 Statement of witness Thomas Sanders: I am a publican, in Wimpole-street. One of these pots is mine. 4 Statement of witness James Hobbs: I keep a public-house in Weymouth-street. 2 21 September 1841 At Launceston November 1841 Charged at Launceston Female Factory with disorderly conduct in fighting; sentence 7 days in solitary confinement at Launceston Female Factory December 1841 Mustered at Launceston Female Factory. 8 1 March 1842 Charged with absconding from the service of her master Mr Beeraff; 9 her original term of transportation extended 12 months May 1842 Son John Perry, 10 illegitimate, born at Launceston Female Factory; mother Hannah Perry; informant Robert Pearson, Superintendent, Launceston Female Factory June 1842 Reported to have been delivered of an illegitimate child at Launceston Female Factory, vide memorandum of the Assistant Superintendent of Convicts February 1843 Son John Perry died of diarrhoea at Launceston Female Factory; aged 10 months, mother Hannah Perry, prisoner; informant Robert Pearson, Superintendent, House of Correction February 1843 Inquest held into the death of son John Perry. 13 Newspaper report: AN INQUEST was held on Thursday last, before P. A. Mulgrave, Esq., on view of the body of a child named John Perry, who died in the factory on the previous Tuesday evening. Dr. Maddox Deceased was born in the factory nine months ago, and was healthy until the 28 th ultimo, when he was attacked with diarrhoea, from which he died on the 14 th inst.; I attended deceased twice a day, and frequently consulted Dr. Benson on his case; the usual medicines were administered, and he had nutritive diet; his mother and nurse were very attentive to him. Hannah Perry The deceased (my child) was born in the factory on the 30 th May last; about three weeks ago he was attacked with purging; he was regularly attended by Drs. Maddox and Benson; medicines were administered to him, and the warm bath and leeches applied; he had beef tea, arrowroot, and wine; he died on the 14 th instant. Ann Henniker Have nursed the deceased in the factory for the last seven weeks, during which time he has been suffering under a violent purging; he was regularly attended by Drs. Maddox and Benson, and had medicines, nutritive diet, and a warm bath; the room in which he was kept was airy.
