4 Design Cell is a professional Urban Planning organiza*on; its clients include the City Government of Mumbai, as well as non- Governmental and Academic ins*tu*ons : Re- Imagining Dharavi: Project Leader. Led team of 3 planners and 40 students to create design and financial alterna*ves to Maharashtra State s redevelopment plan for Dharavi, one of the largest slums in the world with over 600,000 residents. Our work led to the forma*on of an Expert Legisla*ve Commilee for reviewing proposals for Dharavi that would include the resident community to ensure a just and sustainable redevelopment. 2006: Mumbai Metro Study: Project Architect. A study of the impact of the Mumbai Metro Rail project on the poten*al for future urban development, with recommenda*ons for urban development policy.
