1 St. Andrews Parish Werribee North District GATHERING LETTER For the Bethany Community A sharing between friends Issue: 193 May 2018 BETHANY COMMUNITY MASS You are invited to attend the next Community Mass to be held this Sunday 13th May 2018 (Mother s Day). Mass is celebrated in the Bethany School Hall, Cnr Heaths and Thames Roads. Mass begins at 10.00am. Refreshments are provided after Mass. Everyone is most welcome to attend, invite a friend along as well. Bethany Community Masses for the year: June & July (no Community Masses) 9th September 11th November 12th August 14th October 16thDecember (Christmas Mass TARNEIT WEST COMMUNITY MASS The next Tarneit West Community Mass will be held on Saturday 26 th May 2018 at 5.00pm in St. John the Apostle Primary School, Kingbird Avenue Tarneit. Join us in the celebration of the Eucharist followed by refreshments after the Mass. Everyone most welcome to attend. SJA Community Masses for the year: June (no Community Mass) 28 th July 25 th August September (no Community Mass) 27 th October November (no Community Mass 1 st December (Christmas Mass) Community Masses are not held during school holidays. PENTECOST SUNDAY Pentecost Sunday, 20 th May celebration at St. Andrew s Church at 10.30am (it will be lovely to come in your cultural dress). Followed by fellowship at the Presbytery Garden, weather permitting. Please bring a plate to share. 1

CHILDREN S CHOIR INVITATION PENTECOST MASS We are inviting school age children to come and sing at the Pentecost Mass at 10.30am on Sunday 20th May in St. Andrew s Church.

2 CHILDREN S CHOIR INVITATION PENTECOST MASS We are inviting school age children to come and sing at the Pentecost Mass at 10.30am on Sunday 20th May in St. Andrew s Church. Rehearsals will be held at Penola Hub (33 Mortimer St, Werribee) from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on Wednesdays 9 th and 16 th May. Please RSVP to the Parish Office (NOT YOUR SCHOOL) on or werribee@cam.org.au by Monday 7 th May. We look forward to hearing your child s angelic voice. *Any adults who play an instrument are most welcome to join us. Enquiries: Marthese Temming Children s Liturgy of the Word Children s Liturgy of the Word is held during the 9.30am and 11.00am Masses each Sunday except Sundays during school holidays. Children of all ages are invited to attend. After the opening prayer, the children process out to hear the Gospel proclaimed at their level. Parents can attend with the little ones. If you would like to be involved please contact Sherry at the Parish Office on ST. JOHN THE APOSTLE PLAYGROUP St. John the Apostle Playgroup meets in the Portables at the back of the school. Entry is from the School Office situated at 54-76, Kingbird Ave, Tarneit. We meet each Tuesday morning from 10.30am 12.00pm (except during school holidays). PRAY GROUP GodStart is a fun and dynamic Pray Group for two to five year olds and their carers.

It introduces children to prayer and scripture in a dynamic way that will engage your child and foster a love of God.

Come along and join in the fun. It is held every FOURTH FRIDAY of the month at 12.30pm 2.

4 ST. ANDREW S TRIVIA NIGHT A great night was had by all who attending the Spooky Trivia Night. Sam Ioppolo (our MC) did a fantastic job with the questions and the running of the whole night. Thankyou Sam for your continued support to the St. Andrew s Trivia. Also, a big thank you to Mary Xwereb and Josee King who helped organize and Mary Rayner who helped on the night.
