1 BIGWOOD ISLAND BYNG INLET, GEORGIAN BAY Positioned at the mouth of Byng Inlet and surrounded almost entirely by Crown lands, Bigwood is a magnificent 35 acre island featuring lush white pine forests, smoothly sloping granite and breathtaking western views of iconic Georgian Bay landscapes and waterscapes. Five cottages on the island; the Main Lodge, Log Cabin, Play Cabin, Indian Cabin and Pointe Cabin can comfortably accommodate twenty.

4 THE MAIN LODGE Dating from 1905, the main lodge was originally built as a summer retreat for managers of Canada s largest lumber camp in nearby Britt. Situated overlooking the harbour the 11/2 storey, 5 bedroom, 2500 sq.ft. lodge has been meticulously restored preserving all the warmth and charm of a bygone era while enjoying the comfort of every up to date convenience. 5 MAIN LODGE INTERIOR The galley kitchen has wonderful views over the harbour. Streamlined and efficient it offers generous tile topped counters and ample storage space with wooden built in glass fronted cabinets. The Kitchen Immediately off the kitchen a lovely breakfast room opens onto a rear deck overlooking the interior of the island. Windows at either end flood the kitchen and breakfast room with light. The Bedrooms The Breakfast Room Of three main floor bedrooms one has a queen size bed and a three piece bath with shower, a second with two beds and adjacent 3 piece bath, and a third has a single bed. 6 The Dining Room A beautifully proportioned room filled with antique pieces including a central refectory table and hanging brass chandelier. Windows and French doors along the entire length of the dining room allow access to the covered verandah, stunning views to water and gently filtered natural light. 8 The Living Room The supremely comfortable living room is anchored by a massive dry stone wood burning fireplace. Opposite the fireplace is a library/study area with floor to ceiling bookshelves a library ladder and a writing desk. 9 Log Cabin Originally from Eastern Ontario, the log cabin was dismantled and rebuilt on its current site near the south west point of the island. The ~950 sq.ft. cabin has a large living room with high vaulted ceiling creating a loft area accessed via spiral staircase. A floor to ceiling stone wood burning fireplace warms the entire structure. The master bedroom is immediately adjacent to the living room and a subsequent addition houses a 5 piece bath and an up to date kitchen. The vantage point from the log cabin affords dramatic sweeping views over the Bay with the La Cloche mountains visible in the distance. 10 Indian Cabin Indian Cabin is a charming smaller cabin with double brass bed, comfortable sitting area, 3-piece bath and a deck which wraps completely around the structure taking advantage of wonderful views over the harbour. Situated on the highest point of land on the eastern shore of the island, it enjoys superb views, with Britt lighthouse clearly visible in the distance. With a screened porch, large living room, three bedrooms, and 3 piece bath, Play Cabin can comfortably accommodate six to eight.

11 A network of footpaths and rustic wooden bridges link the structures and the trails which traverse the island, leading to endless spectacular views. At the south western tip of the island under a 3 masted flag pole, a large stone barbeque and picnic tables overlook superb views in all directions, a particularly spectacular spot at sunset.

12 Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada Location One hour from Toronto by float plane or three hours by car via Hwy#400/Trans Canada land Bigwood is just 10 minutes by boat from the local Britt marina. The channel is wide and deep ensuring safe passage in any weather and a low lying island to the north west creates a natural, sheltered harbour. THE AREA The Little Britt Inn located via a 10 minute boat ride is a great choice for dining out and accommodation for overflow guests. Local guides are available for fishing outings for various game fish - bass, pickerel, salmon, and muskellunge and for the classic Georgian Bay shore lunches. Day boating excursions to Bay Finn, Killarney or Little Current are highlights for guests.
