The Cozy Cottage is an updated farmhouse with two bed rooms, a well equipped kitchen and two living/family rooms. Each room has its own air conditioner and the cottage is easily warmed by a furnace, room heaters or electric fireplace. It has one complete bathroom and a half bath off the master bed room. There is a breakfast nook in the eat in kitchen. The kitchen is supplied with most small appliances, a microwave, and a full size range but no dishwasher. The old farmhouse has cable TV and WiFi for guests who like both old and new. While most things at the Cozy Cottage are compact the view and out side are generous. The Cottage sits on almost an acre of lawn and the owners aren't picky about parking on it should you need the space. The whole front of the house is a porch complete with rocking chairs and tables that can make this the most popular living/dining room in the house. There are some unique antiques and some plain old used furniture. But there is a blending of old and new; for example, the master bedstead is antique metal (as is the rare find metal dresser) but it has an up-to-date memory foam mattress. The property used to be out in the country but now it is less than a 1/4 mile from Blacksburg's City limits. In minutes you can be in town or back out in the mountains. It is almost like having a mountain chalet with pizza delivery service. And no one has ever complained about not finding a place to park. What Makes This Cottage Unique: In addition to convenient location the Cozy Cottage has cable TV, WiFi, a washer and dryer, an almost completely furnished kitchen (no dish washer). Many guests have called it their home away from home. It is not fancy but it is homey!
