3 The lobby is an elegant 8,400 square feet, designed so that art and architecture are blended. The finishes are a refined extension of the exterior materials, including red sandstone, eucalyptus wood, weathered copper, and gray granite with a soft sand texture for the floor. Crushed blue glass is used in the lobby and into the building common areas as a fresh accent material. The tenant hallways allow for transparent tenant entrances. Upgraded hallway finishes include carpet tiles, upgraded linear design acoustical ceilings, and recessed LED strip lighting. Doors are full-height with horizontal eucalyptus veneer and sculptural stainless lever hardware. Wall coverings and artwork will enhance the experience for tenants and their visitors. Like a gracious hotel, the restrooms are designed with the toilets in small rooms with full walls and doors for privacy, and the vanities are in a completely separate space. The finishes include upgraded wall and floor tile, blue glass lavatories and tile accents, granite countertops, framed mirrors, and washed wood stall doors. Men's and women's shower and locker rooms are provided to encourage bicycling to the office and other exercise. The building is on track for LEED Core & Shell Silver certification. High performance glass, tight envelope details, sophisticated built-up mechanical system with three stages of cooling, and sun shades have been incorporated. Photo voltaic panels on the roof supplement the electrical energy use to reduce demand on the public utility and minimize the building s carbon footprint. Building-wide recycling has also been incorporated.
