3 The Gold Coast Home to LUC LAW The aptly named Gold Coast is one of Chicago s most affluent neighborhoods and walking distance to the Loyola Law. Home to the Magnificent mile and various shops and stores. The Rush & Division intersection, just a few blocks away, is a vibrant hotspot of trendy bars and nightclubs. Perfect location for twenty-something professionals.

5 Across the Chicago River, immediately due north of the Loop, is a neighborhood of densely packed with an amazing assortment of dining options to satisfy every palate and budget. 7 The West Loop The West Loop hosts several major attractions, including the United Center, also this is where Oprah Winfrey fans can pilgrimage to her headquarters, Harpo Studios. Local history buffs may be more impressed by the Maxwell Street Market, a sprawling outdoor bazaar that dates back more than a century. The city's famous Greek Town area is here as well, the go-to spot for fans of Mediterranean cuisine and music.

11 It is by far the funkiest neighborhood in Chicago. This amazing bohemian community is comprised mainly of working artists, up-and-coming fashion designers, and hip scenesters. Also, the nightlife is great as it's never a simple weekend in Wicker Park. There's always some new hip club or restaurant opening. Located close to the blue line and an easy commute to downtown. 15 Logan Square is an area steeped in history. These spacious, tree-lined thoroughfares encircle the city, connecting major public parks. Two of these, Logan and Kedzie Boulevards intersect at Logan Square. 17 Lincoln Park Lincoln Park has one of the best selections of restaurants in the city. No further than a 15- minute walk to the lake, which offers the beaches as well as miles of jogging/biking trails. With the long nights of studying, it was essential that I be close to school, and with the Brown & Red lines or the Clark Street bus within walking distance.

19 Lakeview Lakeview s diverse dining, shopping and entertainment options offer a broad appeal to visitors and residents of all ages. It encompasses two popular districts: Wrigleyville & Boystown. There is an express bus that picks up on Lake Shore Drive and it goes straight to Michigan Ave. It takes about 10 minutes to get to school.

20 The Boystown/Wrigleyville area, located within Lakeview, is generally a very good fit for Loyola Law students. It is much less expensive than the Streeterville/Gold Coast areas around the law school. There are a number of independently run shops, bars and restaurants that serve a very diverse clientele, from hardcore Cubs fans to the GLBT community. Wrigleyville

22 Uptown is conveniently located by the red line (Argyle, Berwyn) and bus lines 144, 146, 147 which run express to Water Tower. Walk to the beach! Great cheap places to eat. Near Aragon, Riviera and Green Mill (live music venues). Andersonville has lots of cute shops and cafes and both are near the lakefront bike path. Uptown/Andersonville

24 Buena Park Buena Park lies just next to the Wrigleyville, so many wonderful shops, restaurants and bars are just a few blocks away. Residents have immediate access to Lincoln Park the stretch of beaches and parks that borders Lake Michigan for running, boating, volleyball, fishing, biking, and enjoying the lake. It is just east of Montrose Harbor, a beautiful marina for sailing boats and motorboats.

28 Rogers Park An ethnically diverse area, Rogers Park is home to LUC s Lake Shore Campus. The LSC provides a shuttle system which takes students to the WTC where the law school resides. Also located close to the Loyola redline stop. Rogers Park is affordable and adding new restaurants and venues as we speak. Campus safety and security make this a desirable area. The trendy town of Evanston is just 2o minutes north of Rogers park.
