Inside you find the perfect family home, with every room being larger than average. A wonderful party house, the property is ideal for entertaining family and friends. Whether it s a drinks party, a relaxing BBQ on the terrace or savouring a home cooked meal in the spacious dining kitchen, this secluded house really does suit every occasion. It came into its own recently when we hosted the wedding of our daughter. The family room is the room we tend to use most, as well as enjoying lovely views over the front garden it also leads straight into the large dining kitchen. The space we have inside the house here always makes it easy to find a quite spot and having a separate lounge has been a godsend at times. The front terrace has been positioned to enjoy views of the mature gardens as well as the all-day sun. Tanfield Village is a peaceful, idyllic and convenient place to live. The gardens of the house provide solitude yet you have the advantage of being close to the village pub and a lovely tea room. Local bus routes link to Durham and the Metro Centre and the A1 is only a 10 minute drive. We are going to miss the privacy of having such a large plot and also the vast living space we have within. We take with us many wonderful memories. I will never forget that feeling of sitting on the front terrace after a hard day at work with a glass of wine overlooking the gardens. It is now time for us to move on, with just the two of us living here we feel this home should really be enjoyed by a family again.
