5 Parking and Access The AT&T Tower has a 400-car underground ramp; 100 are open for visitor parking on an hourly basis. Two dedicated elevators access the parking garage. A new digital CCTV system has been installed. The parking ramp is staffed during normal building hours; after-hours access is possible using a card access system. To gain access to the building after-hours you must have an access card and sign in at the lobby desk on the first floor. The entire system is controlled by an Alerton Controls energy management system. Tenant may install a separate computer room cooling unit and tie into the building s core water system. After-hours, heating and cooling can be easily accomplished by resetting a thermostat that activates a heat pump within the space. This will provide additional heating/cooling for the specific zone in two-hour increments From an operational standpoint, the heat pump system is substantially simpler than others. In addition, there is tremendous flexibility to heat or cool as various tenants require. While heat pump systems do generate some noise, it is more of a problem when the units are 4.0 tons and bigger. In the AT&T Tower, the larger units used are 3.4 tons.
