The present owners Brian and Caroline had relocated to the area, and were searching for a family home in a rural setting which had easy access to neighbouring towns. They were delighted to discover the village and the house.

9 Seller Insight East Claydon is a friendly, tranquil and rural village, with a primary school and an active community life. There is a popular run village bar, The Mushroom in the grounds of the village hall. There are various clubs in the village hall, and the residents of Lacemakers Close hold their own annual barbecue. It is only a 5 minute drive to the market town of Winslow for secondary schools and shopping: whilst Buckingham is some 7 miles away and also offers a variety of shops, restaurants and sports facilities. Brian says the close proximity of Milton Keynes enables you to make the easy 35 minute journey into London Euston, for work and leisure. Chadpots is a three storey house, built from reclaimed brick and the delightful mellow colour creates a pleasing and welcoming façade. Once inside, the positive and hospitable atmosphere is achieved by the natural light that pours into each room. This house is a perfect combination of streamlined, ultra comfortable modern living in a light and airy setting. The kitchen is the busy and sociable hub of the house and Brian and Caroline have enjoyed working in the well equipped kitchen diner, where they can chat to friends as they cook. The living room is perfect for entertaining or relaxing for an evening of TV viewing and although the underfloor heating keeps the room perfectly warm, Caroline says it is sometimes just winter comforting to light the wood burner. The south facing master bedroom suite is a bright and restful room, whilst the remaining four bedrooms make it easy to cater for overnight visitors. The private south facing garden is an idyllic and quiet oasis, where apart from bird song the only traffic noise is from the odd tractor making its way to the fields to the rear of the house. Enclosed by soft, mature hedging, the garden is an attractive mix of lawn, trees and shrubbery. The patio is a good sunny spot for al fresco meals, with the garden before you, running down to the end hedge and fields beyond. Caroline often settles with a book on the swing seat at the end of the garden, and says that sitting there looking towards the house is when you really appreciate what an attractive building it is. Brian and Caroline are sad to leave Chadpots as they have enjoyed their time there. It has been a joy to walk the many footpaths in the area and to become involved in village life.
