5 DSS SECURITY If you plan on obtaining your security and/or broker s fee from the Department of Social Services, please note the following: *You must obtain a housing packet and fill out the necessary paperwork from the Department of Social Services once you have secured a unit. *You will need to request from your Housing Specialist, a breakdown of what your portion of the rent will be after you have submitted the Request For Tenancy Approval to your Housing Specialist. *You must take that breakdown to DSS on your scheduled appointment date. DO NOT MOVE INTO YOUR UNIT UNTIL YOU GET APPROVAL FROM DSS
