1 Cass & Claredale Halls of Residence Association Limited Cass and Claredale Halls of Residence Association Limited is a not-for-profit charitable Housing Association that provides affordable, secure accommodation to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in London during term-time. During the summer vacation it provides visitor and internship accommodation on a commercial basis to support its primary aim. Our aim is to advance education by providing and managing accommodation for educational institutions and their students. Student accommodation in London can be expensive and is limited in its availability, to such an extent it inhibits the ability of some students to live and therefore study in London. The charity s core purpose is to provide support for those studying at educational institutions in London, in the form of affordable accommodation and to assist those delivering effective education, ensuring that the students residential experience and the cost of it, supports their academic life. Living in purpose built student accommodation is an integral part of the University experience as it enhances the acquisition of life skills and personal development, which is a very important aspect of the overall educational experience. The Association provides a secure environment for the advancement of this education.

2 Sir John Cass Hall Rooms are available from 19 th September 2015 until 18 th of June 2016 (39 weeks) at Sir John Cass Hall in Hackney. We require a 500 refundable deposit to confirm the room. Cass is a newly refurbished purpose-built building with 132 bedrooms arranged over three floors. All of the single-study bedrooms have their own mini-fridges, washbasins and wireless broadband internet. They are all centrally heated and fully furnished with plenty of electrical sockets and a TV aerial socket (note: you need to buy your own TV licence). You will need to provide your own bedding. All showers, toilets and washing facilities are shared, but single use to ensure comfort and privacy. On each floor there are a number of kitchens where you can sit down to eat with your friends. The kitchens are equipped with all the things you would expect, such as cookers, microwaves, freezers and a food locker for each resident. There s also some space for storing pots and pans, which you need to bring yourself, along with crockery and cutlery. Kitchens are cleaned daily. There s a large communal area which has both social and study space for college work as well as a TV room with satellite TV. This area has wireless broadband internet. There are a limited number of parking spaces available for residents. During office hours the building is staffed by Allan, Maureen and Joanna. Maintenance duties are carried out by Vernon. The building is covered 24 hours a day by sub-wardens, who are fellow students, so if there is ever an emergency there is always somebody available to help

4 Claredale House Rooms are available from 17 th September 2015 until 18 th June 2016 (39 weeks) at Claredale House, Bethnal Green. We will require a 500 refundable deposit to book the room. Claredale is a recently refurbished 4-storey block of flats (please note there are no lifts) arranged around an internal courtyard with lockable front gates. There are 246 single study rooms which are grouped into 59 flats, with 2 7 bedrooms in each flat (the vast majority of flats have 4 bedrooms). Each room has wired and wireless internet access and each flat has shared cooking, shower and toilet facilities and a phone line for incoming and emergency service calls only. All flats are non-smoking. The rooms within the flats are all centrally heated, fully-furnished and have lockable doors. Rooms vary in size and consequently we have different price bands to choose from. We also split the flats up into allmale, all-female and mixed. We also have some flats for mature/postgraduate students. We ll do our best to accommodate your preference, but we cannot guarantee it. As we mentioned, each flat has its own kitchen with cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. You will need to bring your own pots and pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Each bedroom is furnished with a bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, desk, chair and shelving. You will need to bring your own duvet, pillow and sheets. There is a TV aerial socket in each bedroom but you will need a TV licence for your own TV. Residents are responsible for keeping the communal areas of the flats clean as well as their own rooms. Vacuum cleaners can be hired and bin bags are free of charge. There is a limited number of parking spaces. A 100 refundable deposit is required to secure a parking space. During office hours the building is staffed by John and Angela, who are the residential Hall Managers. Maintenance and caretaking duties are carried out by Leroy and Pat. The building is covered 24 hours a day by subwardens, who are fellow students, so if there is ever an emergency there is always somebody available to help.
