2 Dear Applicant, This application packet has been developed as a means to assist you, the applicant, in understanding the application procedure and requirements when applying for a Home Occupation Conditional Use Permit. This packet includes all the necessary background information you will need to prepare and file a complete submittal that will allow your application to be processed and reviewed in the timeliest manner possible. Once a set of home occupation plans are submitted, the plans are subject to compliance reviews by the various city departments and may be returned to the applicant for revision if the plans are found to be inconsistent with the requirements of the City Code. All submitted home occupation proposals shall be reviewed in accordance with of the Draper City Code and all other applicable City Ordinances. Submission of home occupation plans in no way guarantees placement of the application on any particular agenda of any City reviewing body. It is strongly advised that all home occupation plans be submitted well in advance of any anticipated deadlines. 5 Home Occupation Conditional Use Permit Application Checklist Incomplete applications will not be accepted or held. All required items shall be submitted. Submission Requirements Application Fee Noticing Fee Completed Application Form Mailing labels from the county recorder s office of all property owners within 400. Labels must be original label sheets obtained from the Utah (100 E. Center St.) or Salt Lake (2001 S. State St.) County Recorder Office as applicable. Do not include envelopes or postage. Note: The county recorder s office will not give labels unless applicant has application and checklist. Labels from a title company will not be accepted. Copies of the original label sheets. County sidwell plat maps showing the subject property outlined in red. Plat maps may be obtained from the applicable county recorder office. 6 site plans, professionally prepared, & drawn to scale on 8 ½ x 11 or 11 x 17 paper showing all items listed below: o North Arrow o Scale of drawing. o Date of drawing. o All adjoining lot lines. o Total acreage of the property, dimensions of all lot lines, all landscaped areas, parking areas, and building locations. o Floor plan of area in the home to be used for the business. On a separate sheet of paper, responses to the following questions: 1. What is the present use of the property (Manufacturing, Agricultural, Residential, Commercial)? 2. What is the proposed use? Be specific as to use, hours of operation, number of employees, etc. 3. Please discuss how the proposed use will fit-in with surrounding uses. 4. What type of service will it provide to the City of Draper? 5. Is the proposed use consistent with the current zoning & land use designation? Please explain. 6. Is the proposed use similar or compatible to other uses in the same area? Please explain. 7. Is the proposed use suitable for the proposed site? Please explain. 8. Will the proposed use emit noise, glare, dust, pollutants, & odor? Please explain. 9. What will be the hours of operation & how many people will be employed?
