JUDGING CRITERIA Each award is judged based on specific criteria as it applies to individual awards and the selection of award recipients is based solely on the information provided in the nomination package. Award winners will be chosen by the REIC Edmonton Chapter Awards Committee. All eligible nominees will be informed and invited to attend the awards ceremony on November 24, Page 2 of 7
3 REIC Edmonton Chapter Recognition Awards FRI /CRES REALTOR of the Year Award Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of the Year Award Certified Real Estate Specialist Recognize an individual who maintains the FRI designation and has made a significant contribution to the real estate industry Nominee must have the FRI designation and must be an REIC member in good standing Member must have contributed to increasing the value and awareness of the FRI designation via continued involvement related to the real estate profession Completed Award Nomination Entry Form Minimum 250 word narrative explaining why the nominee deserves to win this award, including how the nominee had a profound impact in growth and recognition within the general public and industry over the past year, which came as a direct result of the effort put forth by the nominee Nominations must be accompanied by supporting documentation, such as letters of appreciation, article publications, etc. If applicable, clearly indicate name and date of any published material CPM Certified Property Manager of the Year Award Recognize an individual who maintains the CPM designation and has made a significant contribution to the property management/ real estate industry in last 12 months The applicant must have the CPM designation Contributions made to the property management/real estate industry must be specifically stated along with the positive effect it made on the industry. The contributions to the property management/real estate industry must have occurred at least in part in last 12 months Nominee must have the CPM designation and be an REIC member in good standing State your contributions to the property management/real estate industry Page 3 of 7
4 State the effect these contributions have had on the property management/real estate industry ARM Accredited Residential Manager of the Year Award Recognizes an individual who maintains the ARM designation and has made a significant contribution to the property management/ real estate industry in last 12 months The applicant must have the ARM designation Contributions made to the real estate industry must be specifically stated The positive effect on the real estate industry must be stated and must have occurred at least in Nominee must have the ARM designation and be an REIC member in good standing State your contributions to the property management/real estate industry State the effect these contributions have had on the property management/real estate industry CLO - Leasing Agent of the Year Award Recognizes an individual who has been proactive in the leasing of residential or commercial property and has improved the leasing objectives of an individual property or of the real estate company overall The applicant should state the leasing goals of the property/company The applicant should indicate what services were provided by the leasing agent that helped achieve the leasing objectives The leasing activity must have occurred at least in part during last 12 months Provide the goals your company established for leasing of the property Submit marketing materials for the subject company State what activities the nominee did to assist the company in achieving their leasing goals Provide documentation evidencing closing ratio Page 4 of 7
5 ACoM Accredited Commercial Manager of the Year Award Recognizes an individual who has built upon the knowledge and training essential to managers of small commercial properties. Those who hold the ACoM certification believe the investment they made in earning the certification continues to pay off. The applicant should state the commercial property management goals of the property/company The applicant should indicate what services were provided by the commercial manager that helped achieve the property objectives The commercial property management activity must have occurred at least in part during last 12 months Provide the goals your company established for commercial property Submit property management materials for the subject commercial company State what activities the nominee did to assist the company in achieving their property management goals CRP - Certified Reserve Planner of the Year Award Recognizes an individual with this designation signifying a professional with the expertise to complete reserve fund studies and depreciation reports for condominiums, institutions, corporations and government entities. The applicant must have the CRP designation Contributions made to the real estate industry must be specifically stated, specifically in capital reserve planning The positive effect on the real estate industry must be stated and must have occurred at least in Nominee must have the CRP designation and be an REIC member in good standing State your contributions to the capital replacement planning in the real estate industry Page 5 of 7
6 State the effect these contributions have had on the capital replacement planning in real estate industry ARP - Associate Reserve Planner of the Year Award Recognizes an individual with knowledge and skills in legal and regulatory issues, communication skills, advanced negotiation techniques, and professional ethics with real world applications expertise lies in the administration of reserve funds and reserve fund plans. The applicant must have the ARP designation Contributions made to the real estate industry must be specifically stated, specifically in capital reserve planning The positive effect on the real estate industry must be stated and must have occurred at least in Nominee must have the ARP designation and be an REIC member in good standing State your contributions to the capital replacement planning in the real estate industry State the effect these contributions have had on the capital replacement planning in real estate industry CRF Certified in Real Estate Finance of the Year Award Recognizes an individual with CRF designation who may work in a wide range of positions, from consultants, portfolio administrators, and asset managers, to mortgage brokers and financial and investment analysts. The applicant must have the CRF designation Contributions made to the real estate industry must be specifically stated, specifically in real estate finance The positive effect on the real estate industry must be stated and must have occurred at least in Nominee must have the CRF designation and be an REIC member in good standing Page 6 of 7
7 State your contributions in the real estate finance industry State the effect these contributions have had on the real estate finance industry CRU Certified Residential Underwriter of the Year Award Recognizes an individual with CRU designation elevates their status as a specialist in residential mortgage underwriting. The CRU credential is ideal for professionals in credit and property risk assessment who work in residential mortgage underwriting. The applicant must have the CRU designation Contributions made to the real estate industry must be specifically stated, specifically in residential underwriting industry The positive effect on the real estate industry must be stated and must have occurred at least in Nominee must have the CRU designation and be an REIC member in good standing State your contributions to residential underwriting in the real estate industry State the effect these contributions have had on the residential underwriting in real estate industry Page 7 of 7
