Housing Priorities Liberal PC NDP New Affordable Housing Signed on to National Housing Strategy $3 million Seed Funding for Co-op Development Increase the supply of affordable housing across the GTA while protecting the Greenbelt in its entirety. Sign on to National Housing Strategy 65,000 new units (20,000 from National Housing strategy) over 10yrs. 30,000 new supportive housing unit over 10 yrs. $3 million Seed Funding for Co-op Development 14

Housing Priorities Liberal PC NDP Repairing existing social housing $547 million for repair and retrofit over 5 yrs Cover 1/3 cost of repairing social housing Housing Benefits or other income supports Yes, included as part of National Housing Strategy $3.8 billion in new support for mental health, addictions and housing supports over 10 yrs. Yes, included as part of National Housing Strategy Inclusionary zoning Yes, passed final regulations in May. Yes, will enhance current rules Advocacy and Government Relations 15

16 Stronger Together Building on the success of past shared initiatives (Where s Home?), CHF Canada Ontario Region and ONPHA released Affordable Today. Affordable Tomorrow. (Visit CHF Canada s website to download) Stronger Together On May 17, 2018 CHF Canada Ontario Region and ONPHA released a joint Affordable Housing Plan for Ontario. Which called for: 69,000 affordable rental homes over the next 10 years Income supports for 311,000 Ontario households Extending the life of 260,000 communityowned rental homes 30,000 new supportive housing units over the next 10 years 16
