Note: Process Outline: Submit plat, application and all supporting documents, filing fees and all financial assureties. Planning Office will verify the validity of the requested plat in relation to land use and zoning. Then it will be reviewed for compliance with Florida Statutes Chapter 177. Needed corrections will be listed and provided to the applicant. You will need to have the corrections or additions made and re-submitted to the Planning Department. It will be re-checked by the County s surveyor. Once all items have been addressed, the plat will be scheduled for hearing by the Board of County Commissioners. A final mylar version of the plat will need to be submitted prior to the scheduled BOCC meeting date. The County s surveyor will make a final review and sign the mylar plat. Once the BOCC approves the plat, you will be required to pick up the signed mylar plat and have it recorded in the Clerk of Court s office. ONE COPY of the signed and recorded plat MUST be returned back to the Planning Department before you will be able to move forward with any developing of the platted lands. PROPERTY INFORMATION 1.
