2 THE TOWN Darlington is a busy market town in County Durham and is located some 37 miles south of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and 63 miles north of Leeds. The town has excellent transport links being situated close to the A1(M) junctions 57, 58 & 59 and the A66(M).
