This industrial manufacturing complex if 80,000 square feet and is an investment worth more than $50 million in Waterbury. Additionally, this manufacturing complex will provide roughly 60 jobs during construction and many more full-time, manufacturing jobs upon its completion.
53 AREA DEVELOPMENTS WATERBURY NEXT Waterbury NEXT is a $0 million public-private investment in downtown Waterbury. The city of Waterbury was given a historical federal TIGER grant, which it plans to use to improve the Waterbury rail branch, enhance mass transit in the city, renovate historic buildings and create more downtown apartments. The project intends to highlight the beauty and viability of the downtown area and thus has drawn the interest of several outside investors.
54 AREA DEVELOPMENTS FOOD HUB Brass City Harvest is using a $1.7 million state grant to build an agricultural sanitation station in the South End of Waterbury. The building will be 40,000 sf and located along Mill Street, between South Liberty and South streets. The project is expected to provide area farmers a center for processing and distributing food, while simultaneously spurring development and job creation in Waterbury.
