If you ae a pospective selle o landlod (owne) o a pospective buye o tenant (buye), you should know that the boke who lists the popety fo sale o lease is the owne's agent. A boke who acts as a subagent epesents the owne in coopeation with the listing boke. A boke who acts as a buye's agent epesents the buye. A boke may act as an intemediay between the paties if the paties consent in witing. A boke can assist you in locating a popety, pepaing a contact o lease, o obtaining financing without epesenting you. A boke is obligated by law to teat you honestly. IF THE BROKER REPRESENTS THE OWNER: The boke becomes the owne's agent by enteing into an ageement with the owne, usually though a witten listing ageement o by ageeing to act as a subagent by accepting an offe of subagency fom the listing boke. A subagent may wok in a diffeent eal estate office. A listing boke o subagent can assist the buye but does not epesent the buye and must place the inteests of the owne fist.
