Filton, North Bristol Planning and transaction advice Rolls-Royce Advice on optimum scheme for surplus 65 acre site, monitoring of planning process to secure 1.2 million sq ft of mixed employment space, marketing and successful sale. Magor Brewery, Monmouthshire Planning application advice AB InBev Instructed since 2012 to gain planning permission for more than 20,000 sq m of storage and distribution floorspace amongst other development proposals to assist the brewery in delivering significant increases in production output. St David s, Cardiff Development agreement and compulsory purchase Bishopsgate Parking Limited CPO advice on three city centre car parks in Cardiff required for extension to St David s shopping centre including giving evidence at the Lands Tribunal. 14 Experts in Planning & Development case studies Midlands (East and West) Coventry City Centre Planning application advice Regent Park Properties 800 unit student scheme granted planning permission in Coventry city centre Fen End, Warwickshire Planning and development advice Jaguar Land Rover Planning application on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover for 27,500 sq m office and research accommodation, on a green belt site at Fen End, Warwickshire. The application was approved in 12 weeks and will create over 500 new jobs in the area. Rugby Financial viability due diligence Rugby Borough Council Lead a consultancy team to provide investment and financial advice to the Council to test the financial viability of the Rugby Radio Masts site. The site extends to 1,674 acres (678ha) and when complete the site will provide 6,200 residential units with ancillary mixed-use development. Wellingborough Town centre development advice Wellingborough Borough Council Appointed by Council under ESPO panel to provide development, and lease restructuring advice on their town centre landholdings. 16 Experts in Planning & Development case studies North West Ordsall Lane, Salford Agency and planning & development advice Whitbread Instructed to conduct a planning study on the site which identified the sites potential for regeneration development. Gerald Eve was appointed to dispose of the site, then subsequently instructed to provide due diligence regarding an offer to remove overage proposition. A feasibility study, through site analysis and appraisal, deduced that the future value of the site was far in excess of the offer. Address, Halton Planning application and financial viability advice Redrow Homes A series of planning applications have been submitted for circa 800 units (outline and detailed) in Halton Borough Council. Aytoun Street, Manchester Planning advice Dominvs Group / McAleer & Rushe Planning permission secured for a 306-bed hotel on the site of the derelict Employment Exchange in Piccadilly, Manchester. Basford East, Crewe Planning advice Muse Developments Ltd 27 hectare site comprising 325 residential units and 4 hectares of commercial, secured a resolution to grant planning permission from Cheshire East Council. The first application included a proposed bespoke 60,000 sq ft office building for Hiscox whilst the second application, made in outline, included hotel building (100 bedrooms) to be marketed for disposal to a third party occupier/operator. Headingly, Leeds Expert witness Action for Children Advised Action for Children successfully on an appeal against Leeds City Council s decision to refuse planning permission for a change of use from a children s home to residential accommodation. The appeal was allowed and full costs awarded against the Council. New Mill Road, Holmfirth Development appraisal and valuation Jones Homes (Yorkshire) Ltd Instructed to provide development appraisal advice and a red book valuation of development land for the future phases of family housing at the New Mill Road site. 20 Experts in Planning & Development case studies London Stag Brewery, Mortlake, London Planning brief and transaction advice ABInBev Advised on a planning brief and then transaction advice on the 21.2 acre Stag Brewery site in Mortlake on the banks of the River Thames for a residential mixed-use scheme to provide a new heart for Mortlake. This sale represented one of the largest development transactions of 2015 and was completed in a tight timeframe to meet the client s objectives. Victoria, London Planning application and financial viability Land Securities Provided planning and financial viability advice for the redevlopment Land Securities Victoria Estate including Nova, a 1.3m sq ft mixed-use scheme of offices, apartments, retail and leisure. 6-8 Bishopsgate, London Planning application advice Mitsubishi Estate Secured planning permission on behalf of Mitsubishi Estate London and Stanhope Plc for the redevelopment of a 40-storey city tower at 6-8 Bishopsgate and 150 Leadenhall Street, a key site in the City of London.
