2 AIA Rochester Our mission is to promote the profession and practice of Architecture in the Greater Rochester Area. We are dedicated to providing our members opportunities for professional advancement, community involvement, and promoting design excellence in the built environment. 4 Learning Objectives At the end of this program, participants will be able to: 1) Participants will be able to judge whether proposed work in a rehabilitation project will meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. 2) Participants will be able to apply creative design solutions that both allow for adaptive reuse of a historic building and meet the Secretary of the Interior s Standards for Rehabilitation. 3) When planning a rehab project, participants will be able to identify and avoid common design proposals that jeopardize tax credit eligibility. 4) Participants will be able to plan a rehabilitation project that utilizes the state and federal historic tax credit programs without causing unnecessary delays and expenses.
