Longhoughton is a small village with a population of around 2,000 and is located approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) north east of Alnwick and 60 kilometres (38 miles) north of Newcastle. Road access is primarily via the B1339 which links to the A1068 to the south and in turn connects to the A1 which provides access to the wider road network. Alnmouth station and East Coast Main Line services are around 3 miles away.
