Yet the knowledge of local markets and conditions, particularly for the real estate sector, is indispensable. At STRABAG, we therefore rely on a broad network of local units in numerous locations. That s how we are always on the spot where our customers need us and always keep an eye on the local market. In addition, thanks to the local presence, we are networked in the region in the best possible manner. In order to keep our hierarchies flat and thus facilitate quick decision-making, our units are divided into the areas of responsibility of North + West, which includes Germany and Benelux, and South + East, where our activities in Austria and Central Eastern Europe are concentrated. Our real estate developments are carried out by the local units. Our customers are always supported by experienced local contact partners with knowledge of the national language. In this way, we ensure togetherness based on partnership and short distances and can initiate and obtain necessary permits faster. In doing so, our local units are closely networked with each other and can thus draw on the expertise and experience of the entire project development division. In addition, we develop projects in promising markets where we have no local project development presence from our sites. We primarily focus on markets in which the STRABAG Group already has its own administrative and operational infrastructure. This allows us to draw on local experience and regional market knowledge. Today, both business units with the brands STRABAG Real Estate and Mischek are important pillars of the corporate group. Comprehensive expertise in the real estate The portfolio of STRABAG Real Estate includes the development and realisation of office, commercial and retail real estate as well as residential houses, hotels and specialty real estates. In addition to the independently operated project development STRABAG Real Estate offers its services with the Development Services as a service for third parties. As a property developer, STRABAG Real Estate is primarily active in upscale residential construction. In Austria, Mischek also covers affordable and subsidised housing construction. A huge advantage for our customers: If required, all units can rely on the corporate group s specialist know-how from all areas of construction. And that also at a very early stage of a project. This is because we provide our tenants, buyers and institutional investors with specialist information to the same extent, for example on special equipment or structural optimisation potentials, and thus a reliable forecast of the rental or purchase price.
