1 HARLINGEN IRRIGATION DISTRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBDIVISION PLAT APPROVAL 1) All taxes on property to be subdivided must be current. 2) Copies of Warranty Deeds shall be provided to commence approval process. 3) A petition for exclusion from the District and buy-out fee shall accompany the plat. 4) Statements as required by the board shall be on the final plat and signed by the submitting party. (A copy of these statements can be obtained at the district s Office) 5) The final and preliminary plat shall have a vicinity map. 6) Construction plans and engineers report should be submitted along with copy of Preliminary and Final Plat. 7) The final plat shall show any apparent or recorded easements and right-of-ways pertinent to the irrigation district s jurisdiction. 8) The preliminary plat shall show cross-sections of any existing and proposed irrigation canals, drainage ditches, etc. within and adjacent to proposed subdivision, and shall tie topographic attributes to boundary lines or control points. 9) The dimensions and acreage on the plat must be consistent with the dimensions and acreage of the existing block or blocks involved. 10) There shall be no landscaping, utilities, buildings, and/or any other structures permitted on irrigation or drainage easement without approval by the District Board. 11.) All plats must be submitted to our office minimum of two weeks prior to approval for review by the Engineering and Tax Departments 12) All required criteria must be in order by 1:00 P.M. on Friday to make agenda for regular Board of Director s meetings. These meetings are regularly scheduled for the second and forth Wednesday morning of every month at 9:00 A.M. at the District Office. 13) All Mylar Plats must be in our office by Friday before the Wednesday of the scheduled meeting date otherwise it will be rescheduled for the following board meeting 14) Make plat submittal electronically, (preferably) in PDF format. 15) To what Water CCN Service areas does this property belong to. 16) Plat Review Fee $ (Plat Review Fee good for 1 Year- Approval of plat will be voided if plat is not recorded within a year.) 17) Any Funds for Right-Of-Way Purchase and or Facility modification shall be paid prior to Board Consideration.
