STAFF FNDNGS AND DSCUSSON From a land use sandpoin, he locaion is shown on he comprehensive plan "fuure and use map" as being compaible wih he zoning ha has been requesed. f he Planning & Zoning Commission voes o recommend approval of he annexaion and zoning o he Ciy Counci! he following findings are suggesed: 1) The requesed annexaion area adjoins exising ciy limis on he souh adjacen Cherry Lane, and on he wes across he Railroad righ-of-way. 2) The area can reasonably be assumed o be available for he ordery developmen of he ciy wih he ciy limis having grown ino he area and he adjacen lands o he wes and souheas having been annexed, zoned, and/or developed for indusrial purposes. 3) The proposed zoning conforms wih he ciy's comprehensive plan fuure land use map for Heavy lndusrial land use and is reasonably compaible wih exising and proposed indusrial land uses in he area. 4) The applican desires annexaion and zoning o faciliae fuure deveopmen for warehousing space.
