They are: State Registered Appraiser Trainee, Licensed Residential Appraiser, Certified Residential Appraiser, and Certified General Appraiser. Real Estate Trainee can appraise those properties that the supervising appraiser is permitted to appraise. State-Licensed Real Estate Appraiser can appraise noncomplex one to four residential units having a transaction value less than one million dollars and complex one to four residential units having a transaction value less than two hundred fifty thousand dollars and nonresidential property having a transaction value less than two hundred fifty thousand dollars. State-Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser can appraise all types of residential property of one to four units without regard to transaction value or complexity and nonresidential property having a transaction value less than two hundred fifty thousand dollars. State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser can appraise all types of real property including commercial property. Real Estate Appraiser Trainee classification requirements: To qualify for registry as a Real Estate Appraiser Trainee after April 1, 2006, you must:

Successfully complete a total of 75 classroom hours of approved real estate appraisal courses, which includes a 30 classroom hour course in the basic principles of real estate appraising (RES 180), 15 hours of advanced principles of real estate appraising (RES 183) and a 15 classroom hour course in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (RES 281). The balance of classroom hours over those required for basic principles of real estate appraising and USPAP must be spent in approved appraisal courses of at least 15 classroom hours in length that include an examination. 2. General education provides the broad, non-specialized portion of the students' education which enables them to acquire knowledge through content and methodology, think critically, formulate values and make decisions, and appreciate and understand their own and other cultures. Course requirements outside the real estate department (i.e. ACC 215 Accounting for Small Business OWners) represents related instruction in support of skills and knowledge necessary in the real estate field. Computation The Computation related instruction requirement is met by ACC 215 and RES 125 and RES 177 or Mat 107 or Mat 116. Communjgtions an(j Human Relations In order to be successful in any aspect of the real estate industry. real estate professionals possess effective communications skills and include the ability to work and interact successfully with their customers/clients. peers, staff, management, and third party service providers. A high value is also placed on the ability to work in a team setting. Consequently, throughout this cuniculum, communication course content and human relations in the work place content (i.e. RES 140 or RES 290, RES 235, BUS 140, and BUS 236) are an important component of this degree. Work Ethic and Leadership Throughout this program of study. the importance of a responsible and professional work ethic is stressed. Factors leading to such a work ethic are identified and discussed. Instruction is also provided in effective leadership and how it enhances the work environment. Input from this program's technical advisory committee is essential to cuniculum content pertaining to the work ethic and leadership as well as the technically oriented curriculum. Safety and Industrial Hygiene Safety and industrial hygiene are included throughout the cuniculum.
