4 Certificates The Philadelphia Society of Women Engineers is pleased to honor young women who have demonstrated excellence in the study of mathematics and science. The students who receive these awards have completed 3 or more years of mathematics and science courses with distinction and they have also been active citizens of the school and community. The award for highest honors is presented this year to: Erica Murphy Awards for high honors are presented this year to: Julie Bevilacqua and Madeline King Certificate The Philadelphia Section of the American Chemical Society sponsors an award for excellence in chemistry and recognizes a student for her demonstrated enthusiasm and perseverance in the study of chemistry. This year s award is presented to: Erica Murphy Certificates The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) is the world leader in promoting physics education at all levels. Each year the association recognizes outstanding physics students. In 2015 the International Year of Light the Outstanding Physics Student Awards are presented to: Julie Bevilacqua and Moira McChesney Certificate The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists grants an award each year for outstanding academic performance, leadership potential, and dedication to serving humanity through the profession of medicine. At the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in 2014, the Medical Advisory Board of the academy conferred honor and distinction upon: Erin Donnelly Erin, please come forward to receive a certificate. 5 MMA students continued to earn honors in the WordWright critical reading challenge this year. As a result of strong performances in the various challenge meets, an award for highest national honors is presented to: Emma Ibrahim This year a Gold Medal was awarded to Maura Avington for flash fiction on the national level of the annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards program.
