2 Project Udaan : Women Empowerment and Welfare under which, one of Sonalika CSR s very first initiative to empower girls of rural India through sports that to Shooting, in various villages of Baghpath district UP, had one goal: To create a livelihood and to build a sustainable career path for women. The success of this project was attained in the very second year when four of the girls joined the Indian army and a few joined Punjab University. The success of this very project in Bagpath has given Sonalika CSR the confidence to start a new shooting range in Chabbewal govt. Sr. Sec School, Punjab in November In the first 8 months of inception of the Sonalika Shooting Range, Chabbewal the project has shown tremendous talent of rural Punjab and through the rigorous training the Sonalika shooting range at Chabbewal currently has produced 11 state level players in just 8 months which mark the excellent project execution of Sonalika CSR. Our mission and vision in empowering female is quite clear. Our aim is to provide the truly needy and talented girls a platform to rise in their lives. and Sonalika CSR has always given Wings to their Dreams.the road map ahead is new shooting range is in pipeline for Government school of Delhi so the urban needy and talented children can be benefited from this sports. Page 1 JULY 2018 UDAAN EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH SPORTS SUPPORTING WOMEN SELF HELP GROUP In its continuous efforts to empower women, Sonalika CSR has joined hands with Navjyoti Foundation to give women a sense of entrepreneurship apart from micro financing aspect of Self Help Groups. Sonalika, with this initiative, has taken charge of empowering almost 3000 women through formation of 200 SHGs. Currently, few women from various SHG s are being trained to start a Garment Manufacturing unit which will help these women to start their own business and a social entrepreneurship. Few other group of women from other SHG s are being trained in vermicomposting, toy making, masala making, handicrafts and much more. They are also being trained to sell these on various platforms along with the digital e-commerce platforms, thus enabling them to be self efficient and become entrepreneurs in their own right. Also, one of the biggest role of these women is that they have taken up the responsibility to create a social movement in their villages by making people aware about various government policies like legal rights for women, Paani Panchayat for saving water and pond restoration, protecting environment by plantation etc.

3 Under Integrated Slum Development program, Sonalika took the responsibility to make Delhi slums a better and safer place for women and children residing in those slums. The areas that Sonalika has eyed to make change are on womens health through a program Sustainable Menstrual Hygiene, targeting women s health and ensuring a healthy lifestyle for them. Looking at the school dropout rates in the slum and y o u n g c h i l d r e n s i n c l i n a t i o n t o w a r d s Substance(Drug) Abuse, Sonalika CSR has started to work with SPYM, a NGO working to help people to stop using substances and giving a better life to those who are under the influence of such unwanted substance in their lives. Through this project we address the issue of substance abuse in children to help give them a better future. The goal is to bring these school drop out children close to mainstream education along with giving them vocational skills and placing them in skilled jobs. This project has been operational in Todapur Slum, West Delhi with the support of Delhi Police. INTEGRATED SLUM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM UMDAH ACADEMY: CENTRE FOR ART, CULTURE & REMEDIAL EDUCATION Under the vertical Kilkari (Youth & Child Development), of Sonalika CSR has taken up this initiative to uplift the marginalised and under-privileged children of Noor Nagar slum of Jamia Nagar,of Delhi along with Police Public Library & Shikhar Organisation for Social Development for the last two years. The aim of this centre is to support the under privileged children in their education, and also explore their hidden talents in Sports, Art and various cultural activities. Along with this, the centre also provides vocational training to near by women and girls like stitching, cutting and designing. Through this initiative, Sonalika CSR also provides the near by youth a special communication classes so that they can learn, grow and make a mark for themselves in the years to come. 4 SONALIKA TALENT ACADEMY Sonalika Talent Academy is an initiative to promote sports, art and culture a m o n g s t t h e u n d e r privileged community. Sonalika is proud that one of its athletes, Ms. Joana Murmu, who was trained by the coaches of Sonalika Talent Academy, has qualified for the 400 Metre Hurdles in the singles category. She has also qualified for 400m relay in the Asian Games to be held in Jakarta. Sonalika is dedicated to nurture more talent in various fields like Athletics, Football, art & sculpture etc. and empower the under privileged community. Page 3 JULY 2018 CROP RESIDUE MANAGEMENT Sonalika, under their corporate social responsibility, does extensive work on environment. Due to large scale pollution and erratic climatic conditions, agriculture is getting adversely affected. Sonalika has taken the multi stakeholder approach to address the issue through various initiatives that promote climate-smart agriculture which will benefit farmers. Sonalika, in association with CIMMYT-BISA, has adopted 25 villages in Haryana to create Climate Smart & Resilient Agriculture along with CROP RESIDUE MANAGEMENT as a pilot project. This will empower farming community and make them aware of various climate resilient agricultural patterns.

5 With the above background, a pilot project is proposed for Karnal district of Haryana with below objectives-raise awareness among the farmers and civil society about the ill effects of residue burning on health (soil, plant, human, animal and environment) and farmers profits as well as beneficial effects of residue recycling. Demonstrate the innovative technology package for practical solutions of managing crop (rice) residues by turning agriculture waste into wealth. Develop capacity and establish networks of new startups/entrepreneurship for the manufacturing and supply chain of quality and value chain solutions of residue management (Turbo Happy Seeders and super SMS). Develop and showcase scalable business cases for residue management to promote, employ and attract youth in agriculture. Page 4 JULY 2018
