2 H I S T O R Y : In 1978 Bruce Fitter began his career in the Custom Home Construction business designing and building custom homes in the Caledon area of southern Ontario. After a number of successful years in residential construction Bruce expanded his company to include a millwork corporation that serviced a number of large corporate restaurant chains across Canada. An opportunity arose for a life style change in 1994, after selling his interests in Hygrade Millwork Corporation. Bruce and his wife Lois moved with their four children to Muskoka. Bruce s passion for designing and building custom homes continued as South Mary Lake Contracting came into existence in Where else could it be more gratifying to bring to life the dreams of his clients, than along the pristine shorelines of Muskoka, with the challenges of the natural and rugged Muskoka landscape! Throughout the past 15 years South Mary Lake Contracting (SML) has continued to grow, with more than 100 projects now completed. We continue to focused on making the changes necessary to meet the challenges of the future to ensure SML will be strong and prosperous for generations to come.

6 8 South Mary Lake Construction Ltd. completed construction of our cottage which we use year-round to our great satisfaction. Bruce Fitter was involved in our project from the time we were selecting our lot. Bruce demonstrated his design expertise from the beginning with his skillful suggestions for cottage placement and elevation which readily became apparent as optimal upon completion. The extensive experience of Bruce and his team were invaluable in determining floor plans, general layout and design details. The quality of construction was truly impressive, and the guidance provided for windows, doors and finishes was exceptional. The meticulous attention to design and finishing detail is readily apparent to anyone who views our cottage. We found the progress of construction at our cottage to be miraculous as it seemed to effortlessly progress to completion in a timely and professional manner. We truly enjoyed working with Bruce and are greatly appreciative to him and the entire crew of South Mary Lake Construction for the excellent work which was done. We were so happy that we made this decision since the entire process was enjoyable from his design ideas to the impeccable workmanship throughout. There was never a time through the process that we didn't feel he was extremely fair and thoughtful in every aspect and we always felt very comfortable and trusted his decisions. In year's to come when we look back at our memories of the cottage, having Bruce build our cottage will be part of those happy memories.
