2 Conference at a Glance Preserving Wright s Legacy in Wisconsin, the Conservancy s first Madison conference in 14 years, will explore the multidimensional nature of Wright s close, lifelong relationship to his home state, and efforts to safeguard his work there. Join your fellow Wright homeowners and public sites administrators at Monona Terrace for dinner and a presentation on practical lighting issues in Wright-designed buildings by award-winning lighting designer Marty Peck, principal of Creative Lighting Design. Leadership Circle Dinner Following the Opening Reception, members of the Leadership, Clerestory and Visionary Circles are invited to a tour and grazing dinner with fine wines at the Arboretum House (Bruns Architecture, 2015), in the forested, history-filled Madison Arboretum neighborhood. German Warehouse (Wright, 1915) and a tour of the distinctive Barrett-Tuxford House (1987) by Wright apprentice Arthur Dyson. Tickets $150. Tour departs 9 a.m. from the Hilton and returns approx. 4 p.m. Lunch and transportation provided. General Conference Tours Thursday Saturday, Oct Afternoon tours are packed with Wrightdesigned buildings! Friday will be devoted to Taliesin including the Hillside School and Studio, Tan-y-deri and the nearby Wyoming Valley School (1956) with a focus on preservation. Thursday and Saturday will focus on the Madison area, including World Heritage Site nominee Jacobs House I (1936), the hemicycle Jacobs House II (1944), the rarely toured Rudin House (1957), the recently discovered American System-Built House Series AA (1917), the cliffhugging lakeside Pew House (1938), and the National Historic Landmark Unitarian Meeting House (1947). Private houses by Wright apprentices and other architects, including the Louis Sullivan-designed landmark Bradley House (1909), also will be included. Included in general registration.
