1 RICH STOLTE Colorado Elks Association President Greeley 809 To begin I want to say how honored and humbled I am to be serving as your State President. We have a great group of officers and committee people and, by working towards a common goal of increased membership and membership retention, we should be able to get to where we need to be. That is: A State Association growing in membership and providing the services to our youth, veterans, the less fortunate and our communities that we have pledged to give. Past Grand Exalted Ruler and Past State Sponsor Dwayne Rumney often stated that he enjoyed coming to Colorado because of the good work we do. Let s keep working to improve that performance, let our communities know what we are doing and make more people want to become a part of it. Before we can let our communities know what we are doing, it is necessary to let all members know and that must start at the Quarterly meetings. Our breakout sessions have been very productive and well attended so the word is potentially getting out to the membership. It has been exciting to have several members come forward and offer to work on and chair committees. With this enthusiasm and the dedication of current officers and committee people we will be well on our way to a good year. I agree with Henry Ford when he stated: Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress, and Working together is success. Let s make our own Past Grand Exalted Ruler and new State Sponsor, John Amen, proud of his HOME STATE and have a membership gain this year. It s a BIG task, but Colorado Elks can do the job! In this way, we can HAVE FUN HELPING OTHERS!
