2 Descendants of Thomas McCallum Page 1 1-Thomas McCallum-[883], son of John McCallum-[2209] and Mary Drysdale-[2530], was born in 1810 in Ferry Road (Moorefield), N.B., died on 15 Feb 1888 in Bridgeville, Quebec at age 78, and was buried in Barachois West, Quebec at St. Paul's Anglican Church. Notes: Head of the Family Tree for McCallum's of Bridgeville, Quebec. Thomas McCallum was married to Duncan Robertson's aunt Annabel. Duncan's mother was Mary Polly McCallum, Thomas' sister. Thomas followed Duncan about a year later, and moved from Tabusintac N.B. to Bridgeville, Quebec in He built a house where Norman McCallum lived later. When Thomas' son John was an old man, the house burnt down. Aunt Annie, Anne Curle b 1888, carried John down stairs in the blaze to safety and wore the scars on her face, neck and arms for the rest of her life. Thomas' grandson, Norman, rebuilt the house and it still is lived in. The first night, Thomas and family slept under a big tree on the property he was to later own. Thomas had twenty-five cents in his pocket. Thomas married Annabella Robertson-[2049] [MRIN:263], daughter of Duncan Robertson-[2040] and Elizabeth Williams-[2041], on 31 Jul 1834 in Alnick, N.B.
