4 (April 17, April 22, 2013) June Lee came to NYC from Lombok, Indonesia in She was a business woman, a mother and a community leader. She served as a Hamilton-Madison House board member for over 38 years and was the founder of our annual Chinatown Benefit Banquet. June believed deeply in the HMH philosophy to serve the community and to never turn away anyone in need.

6 Dream Lights of the City FERNANDO ESPINOSA CHAUVIN Fernando grew up in Quito, Ecuador, and since 1993 he has been working from his base in New York. Fernando got his first camera at the age of 12 and developed his interest in photography at his school newspaper, taking pictures from sports to portraits. He received his first National Prize at age 16 for his photographs of Scenes of Quito. He later had an exhibit at the Casa de la Cultura in Quito and went on to win other institutional prizes. Fernando began his professional photography career in New York working as a fashion photographer for international modelling agencies. He has taught illumination techniques at photography workshops in New York and in Quito, Ecuador. His work has been exhibited in Australia, Korea, Qatar, Ecuador and New York. He has also published several books, including Afrodisiaco, Dubrovnik, Croatia Split, Croatia, Galapagos Surreal, Ecuador Tierra del Cacao His latest work, Dream Lights of the City Fernando uses experimental infra-red photography techniques to capture hauntingly beautiful aerial cityscapes. Both deeply tender and darkly menacing, familiar and unreal these images capture a uniquely powerful and unsettling new dream of New York City. Hamilton-Madison House is thrilled to offer four of Fernando s stunning photographs framed in size 4'x5' for a silent auction and one will be offered for a live auction during the June Lee Banquet. The proceeds will benefit HMH s ongoing work to aid seniors in the community. We know you will enjoy these unique photographs in your home or office.
