This school is located at Walworth Co., a village containing from three to four thousand inhabitants, and situated on the line of the Milwaukee and Prairie du Chien Railway. t is only a few miles from the junction of the Chicago and North western with the Milwaukee and Prairie du Chien road, and about one hundred miles northwest of Chicago. t is thus easy of access, and located in the most densely populated portion of The ground on which the Normal School building stands is found, by recent surveys, to be the highest point between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi, and the wide extent of rolling prairie, oak openings and small lakes which it overlooks renders its position one of great beauty, 3ULDNG AND GROUKDS. The edifice is new, built of cream colored brick, and is of the modern style of architecture. t is one hundred and eight feet long, by fifty.seven wide, and three stories high above the basement. The whole building is heated by stearn, thoroughly ventilated, and no necessary labor or expense has been spared to adapt it to th~ purposes for which it has been designel The grounds,embrace an area of ten acres, which have been handsomeiy graded and ornamented with walks, lawns, evergreens, shrubs and flowers, the whole designed to illustrate to the students the necessary surroundings of the school house,-to cultivate the <esthetic, as well as the reasoning.jqwers, and to awaken in the students a love of nature which shall find wherever they may be called to labor. This school is located at Walworth Co., a village contain. ing from three or four thousand inhabitants, ljld situated on the line of the Milwaukee and Prairie du Chien Railway. t is only a few miles from the iunction of the Chicago tmd Northwestern with the Milwaukee and Prairie du Chien road, ljld about one hundred miles northwest of Cbicago. t is thus easy af access, lind loca.ted in the most densely populated portion of The ground on wbich the Normal School building stands is found, by recent survey, to be the highest pomt between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi, and the wide extent of rolling prairie, oak openings and small lakes whicb it oyerlooks renders its position one of great beauty. BULDNG j'nd GROUNDS. The edifice is new, built of cream colored brick, and is of the modern style of architecture. t is one hundred and eight feet long by fifty seven wide, and three stories high above the basement. The wbole. building is heated by steam, thoroughly ventil!l.ted, lind no necessary labor or expense has been spared to adapt it to tbe purposes for which it has been designed. The grounds embrace ljl area of ten acres, which have been blljldsomely graded and ornamented with walks, lawns, evergreens, shrubs and flowers, tbe whole designed to illustrate to the students the necessary surroundings of the scbool house,-to cultivate the ::esthetic, as wen as reasoning powers, and to awaken in the students a love of nature which shall flnd practical expression wherever they may be called to labor. TERMS OF ADMSSON. The Board of Regents of NO'mal Schools has adopted the following regulations for the admission of students to any State Normal School:. Each Assembly district. in the State sha,ll be entitled to six representatives in the Normal Schools, and in case vacancies exist in the ~epresentation to wbich ljly Assembly district is entitled, such vacancies. may be filled by the President and Secretary of thejboard of Regents. l!.
