13 Margaret Alison Stout, aka Marguerite, Born in Dunrossness, Shetland Family had moved to Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada by 1896 First visited Ormond Beach in 1900 or earlier Employed as head of the news and curio department at Ormond Hotel in 1900 Acquired part of Lot 20 in 1903, resident of Brooklyn, NY at the time Engaged architect and contractor Sumner H. Gove in 1903 to construct the three-storey house Seasonal resident of the area, during the winter season when the Hotel was most busy Rented her house out in the off-season Operated a notions shop and library in the house Spent 1914 season at Hammock Home, with widow of Joseph D. Price, co-founder of the Ormond Hotel Also a close friend of co-founder John Anderson, who left her a bequest in his will Listed in the press and tourist guides as a merchant Also as proprietress of Wayside Lodge Died at Bathurst, New Brunswick on September 2, 1933 at age 77 Left property to brother and sister Appraisal showed the house contained a shop, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and closet on the first floor; three bedrooms, a sitting room and a closet on the second floor; and two attic bedrooms.

16 William and Elizabeth MacDonald, Second Owners William "Billy" MacDonald born in Everett, MA in 1890 Employed as a bartender in 1917 at Briarcliff Lodge, near Ossining, NY, opened in 1902 as one of the largest luxury resorts in the world William and Elizabeth Lowry married in 1920, lived in Ossining throughout the 1920s, but also at a tea room in Ormond Beach seasonally Employed by Thomas Kennedy in the Hotel Street Tea Room through 1922 Employed by Macon Thornton in the drugstore that would become Billy's Tap Room William MacDonald acquired Billy's Tap Room building and the adjacent building on the west, added another building on the east and unified the whole. Appears to have been influenced by the Tudor Style Briarcliff Lodge, with decorative half-timbers William was a winter resident of Ormond, and Billy's Tap Room operated seasonally through 1939 The MacDonald family moved to Ormond full time, around 1939, lived above the pharmacy Purchase Margaret Stout's house from her siblings around 1940 for $3000 William died in 1944 and his wife and sons continued to live at the house The house was rented out around 1950 for a short period to Maud von Woy, and served as a dormitory for girls attending the Junior College for Young Women at The Casements The property was sold by the MacDonald family to Ormond Hotel Casements, Inc. in 1964 The property had a series of owners and was acquired by the City of Ormond Beach in 1979
