Implementation Conclusions Future Research Städtebau-Institut, Prof. Dr. Franz Pesch

Implementation Exp. ecarsharing integrated in a housing project in a high density urban structure environment. Siedlungswerk Stuttgart (assoz. Partner) Implementation of ecar_sharing on site on behalf of the project developer Win-Win-Situation: Reducing regulations for number of car parking slots on behalf of the city administration (reduction from 1:1,5 to 1:1,2) reducing costs of development. Univ.-Prof. Dr. F. Pesch, Städtebau Institut, Universität Stuttgart

Implications for urban planning Problem: Different time cycles of technical innovation and urban development. Type of Entwicklungszyklus Development Cycles Urbaner Raum Urban Structure Fahrzeugbau, Automotive & Battery Technologie Innovation Batterie IT, Prozessoren, ICT, IT, Chip-Development Kommunikation Innovation Cycles (years) FOVUS Dr.-Ing. W. Rid, Institute for Urban Planning and Design, University of Stuttgart

Implications for urban planning - Workshops & typology provided a valuable tool for purposes of urban planning and decision making. 1. helps to structure all aspects of emobilty with regard to urban planning: i.e. when the local administration has to make a decision on einfrastructure built up on private land; decision on development of renweable energy infrastructure etc. 2. workshops & visualisations raise interest and awareness of stakeholders. 3. typology can be transferred to other cities (of similar size). FOVUS Dr.-Ing. W. Rid, Institute for Urban Planning and Design, University of Stuttgart

Future Research Follow-Up Project EMiS: Elektromobilität im Stauferland (emobility within the metropolitan area of Stuttgart in cooperation with the cities of Göppingen & Schwäbisch Gmünd) emobility requirements Innovations-Dynamics; Infrastructure; Function; business models innovation-cycle sustainable transport concepts urban development concepts EMIS Integrated emobilty carbon-free urban concepts urban requirements CO²-objectives; quality-of-life indicators; climate mitigation and adaptation; stability FOVUS Dr.-Ing. W. Rid, Institute for Urban Planning and Design, University of Stuttgart

Future Research Follow-Up Project: German-wide series of workshops, on behalf of the BMVBS and Plattform Stadt&Verkehr. Forward model trying to reach development stages Potential Analysis; Vision of a future state of urban developement Stadt - Mobilität -Energie Status-Quo Urban Development (e.g. urban quality indicators) Backcasting Trying to determine and set development stages FOVUS Dr.-Ing.
