3 Executive Summary To ensure a high impact of the project results, both from the demonstrations as well as the supporting research work, great effort has been dedicated to a widespread dissemination of results. This report D7.3 Arranging one seminar per country aims to present the different measures taken by each demonstration country to disseminate findings, results and lessons learned in regards to E2ReBuild to main stakeholders through arranging a national seminar or similar. In the E2ReBuild different approaches within the seminar concept have been implemented. Different strategies have been developed in order to reach a wider audience. Some of the demonstration projects have arranged classic seminars including presentations and workshops while others have proposed more innovative and hands-on activities in order to increase technological interaction with the targeted stakeholders and relevant technical actors. The seminars have had a wide approach to the seminar concept, with a range from a Thermal Walk (Voiron) to an exhibition (Augsburg), presentations at conferences (Great Britain) to more classic seminars (Roosendaal, Halmstad and Oulu). Combined the national seminars have directly interacted with 1235 national stakeholders in six different countries in order to disseminate the aims, objectives, results and lessons learned in the E2ReProject and in the 7 demonstration building connected to the project. 5 1 Seminars as a Method for Dissemination and Communication The objective of all E2ReBuild dissemination has been to create awareness, a deeper understanding, and support for the E2ReBuild project. It was also to make stakeholders take action to take-up the research results and thereby taking the first step towards industrialized building retrofitting to accelerate the transformation of the European retrofitting building industry and increasing the potential for a much larger replication potential. In all dissemination and communication, first-hand information through self-made experience and face-to-face meetings is the most efficient way of transferring knowledge. Therefore the E2ReBuild project has devoted time and effort to arrange and participate in national and international seminars, conferences and other events with the aim to reach and interact with a wide audience of project relevant stakeholders. In addition to participating in a great number of these national and international events (reported in D7.1 Dissemination Activities), each demonstration country according to the Description of Work (Annex I to the Grant Agreement) hosted and arranged one national seminar in order to disseminate E2ReBuild findings, results and lessons learned to national and local stakeholders. These national seminars are the focus of this report. The stakeholders targeted for the dissemination of the E2ReBuild project is defined in the E2ReBuild dissemination strategy (see D7.1 Dissemination Activities). Chapter 1 of this document describes the concept of arranging and participating in seminars in order to disseminate and communicate with stakeholders. Chapter 2 describes the seven seminars arranged within the project. 1.1 Seminars in a Wider Sense In the E2ReBuild project different approaches within the seminar concept have been implemented. Different strategies have been developed in order to reach a wider audience. Some of the demonstration projects have arranged classic seminars including presentations and workshops while others have proposed more innovative and hands-on activities in order to increase technological interaction with the targeted stakeholders and relevant technical actors. In Voiron, France, Opac 38 arranged a Thermal Walk using a heat camera at night to illustrate to local stakeholders the difference in heat/energy loss before and after the refurbishment of the demonstration building. The Augsburg demonstration building, Gruntenstrasse, was exhibited at the Architekurmuseum Schwaben as a part of an exhibit that showcased the advantages of building with wood. The exhibition then travelled in the region. An excursion and site visit to the Gruntenstrasse demo building was also part of the exhibition. In Great Britain the London demonstration showcased at the Passive House conference UK Passive House At this venue the presenters reached a wide audience and a large number of national stakeholders and the most specialized community of experts related to the use of energy in construction. Roosendaal, Halmstad and Oulu arranged seminars with presentations and workshops, in which over 200 stakeholders learned more about the national demonstration and had the chance to exchange experience and know-how with the most relevant actors in the renovation sector.
