2 Construction sector is booming especially in the metropolitan regions. Office and commercial properties, culture and leisure facilities as well as railway stations have to be designed and built in increasingly shorter periods. Bridges are at their load limit and therefore need to be renovated or replaced. Private and public developers, architects and investors are looking for economical, but also for architecturally attractive and sustainable solutions to realise their building projects. Thanks to its special benefits regarding load-bearing capacity, economic efficiency and sustainability steel stands for modern architecture and opens up innovative possibilities for the building culture of the future. Recent architectural projects with steel structures and facades in an urban context will be presented. Speakers internationally successful architects and engineers will report on new residential and commercial properties as well as creative solutions in multi-storey buildings for public and private use. Furthermore, they will present architecturally ambitious buildings for transport infrastructure as a necessary requirement for prospering life and business in the urban environment. Admission and Get-together from 8:00 a.m. << The participation fee is 65.- Euro (29.- Euro for students). Cancellation and refund of the fee are permitted until 15 December Replacement is possible. << Registations can be made at (Veranstaltungen) and will be confirmed by mail, the invoices will be attached. Upon receipt of payment the participants will obtain the final confirmation. These will be sent out according to the order of payment receipt.
