1 Meet Your Newly Elected Orange County Republicans! The 2018 midterm elections are over and the Republican Party of Orange County is proud to highlight a number of newly elected Orange County Republicans who will be taking office in the new few weeks. We were proud to endorse these great non-incumbent, and many first time, candidates. We are confident they will serve our communities with dedication to provide real solutions that best serve our Orange County families.

2 Hon. Tyler Diep Assemblymember-elect, California's 72nd Assembly District Tyler immigrated with his parents to the United States in 1991 after waiting in line for nearly eight years. Tyler began his public service in 2005, working for the California State Assembly assisting Orange County residents with state-related matters. A year later, at the age of 23, he ran and was elected as a Director of the Midway City Sanitary District. In 2008, Westminster voters then elected Tyler to the City Council. As a proud homeowner, Tyler recognizes the importance of keeping our neighborhoods safe and clean and has prioritized hiring more police officers and street repair while on the City Council. In the Assembly, Tyler will focus on fighting attempts to raise taxes, fixing our state s crumbling highway, expand access to quality healthcare and improving public education.

3 Don Barnes Sheriff-elect, Orange County Don Barnes has nearly three decades of keeping Orange County families safe. Most recently Barnes served as Orange County's Undersheriff since 2016 overseeing the daily operations of the department s 24 Divisions comprised of 3,900 sworn and professional employees, and more than 700 volunteers. In addition he served in leadership of community engagement efforts including Orange County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, Special Olympics Orange County, MECCA Multi-ethnic Collaborative of Community Agencies, LGBTQ Policing Partnership and the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council.
