4 Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History The International Horn Society Collection Records came to the Bracken Library as a result of a previous holding of the Interantional Horn Society Archives which are now housed at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. This transfer of documents occured in The physical objects of the International Horn Society Archives are housed at the Eastman School of Music Library. These records depict the accession of items made to the International Horn Society Archives during the period of time they were housed at Bracken Library. The Collection Documentation lays the groundwork for the building and eventual transfer of the International Horn Society Archives. The correspondence showcases the individual donations, that were made to Bracken Library. The Publications include duplicates of copies held at the Eastman School of Music Library in Rochester, New York. Scope and Contents This collection includes correspondence and publications from the International Horn Society Archives ranging from 1969 to 1997 regarding the accessions, donations, and transfer of the International Horn Society Archives from Bracken Library to Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
