Born in North Pickenham, Norfolk, England, on May , Mr BLY would have reached his 91 st Birthday in six weeks from the time of his demise. Prior to leaving the Old Country the deceased gentleman occupied the position of gamekeeper to the late Sir Charles JENKINSON, and had the pleasure and honour of Kin Edward VII shooting over the game grounds under his control. There Mr BLY carved his home out of the dense bush, and after residing there for a number of years, proceeded to Pahiatua, later coming to Woodville, where he has lived for the past 25 years. There is a family of eleven, nine of whom are still living. Mr & Mrs BLY enjoyed the companionship of their children for 63 years without a break in the family tree, until their daughters, the late Mrs DOWDS, and the later Mrs BUSHETT, were taken from them by death. They were married 67 years at the time of the passing of the late Mrs BLY two years ago and the large number of 171 living descendants. During the brief service, the Reverend gentleman spoke of the long and honoured life of the deceased, and the general esteem in which he 6
