The 1891 Census at 151 Adelaide St, Heigham, Norfolk, shows: Walter Marris, Head, M, 32, Licensed Victualler, born Norfolk Gt Yarmouth Elizabeth Marris, Wife, M, 24, born Norfolk Norwich Annie Marris, Daur, 2, born Norfolk Norwich Walter Marris, Son, 1, born Norfolk Norwich FreeBMD shows the marriage of Walter Marris in Sept Qtr 1886 at Norwich, Norfolk. This is presumably the same man but there is a problem identifying his bride. On the same marriage register page appears two females, but neither of them was Elizabeth. They were Martha Downes and Emma Hancey. A copy of the marriage certificate would be needed to determine which of these two were his bride. The 1901 Census shows that Walter Marris was later married to Caroline. FreeBMD showed her as Caroline Wilson and that they married in Dec Qtr Walter's first wife must therefore have died (or did they divorce?) sometime between 1891 and 1895, but no record of her death has been located. Walter and Elizabeth had the following children: 64 F i. Ann Elizabeth Marris was born in Dec 1888 in Norwich, Norfolk. It is only a supposition that Annie Elizabeth, born Dec Qtr 1888, is the same child as "Annie" who appeared in the 1891 Census at 151 Adelaide St, Heigham, Norfolk (above). 65 M ii. Walter George Marris was born in Jun 1890 in Norwich, Norfolk. He died on 10 Oct 1917 in Godewaersvelde British Cemetery, Nord, France. It is only a supposition that Walter George, born Jun Qtr 1890, is the same child as "Walter" who appeared in the 1891 Census at 151 Adelaide St, Heigham, Norfolk (above). Walter married Ellen M S Pleasants in Jun 1913 in Norwich, Norfolk. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records the death of W G Marris as follows: 30 Sep 2015 (V3) G Philip Marris Page 19
